Shortly after 1 a.m., a 31-year-old man, a second man, 22, and a 25-year-old woman were traveling in a vehicle in the 2000 block of West 87th Street when a black sedan approached them at a traffic light. At least two people inside of the sedan fired about 40 rounds, striking the victims, police said.The older victim suffered a wound to the head, and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The woman was shot multiple times throughout her body and was taken in critical condition to the same hospital. The second man, 22, suffered multiple wounds to the torso and was taken in critical condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.A 31-year-old man was fatally wounded about 40 minutes later on the North Side in the Bucktown neighborhood, police said.
The victim was on the sidewalk about 1:40 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue when a vehicle approached and someone inside fired shots at the victim. He was struck to the chest, and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.
